Rain Rain Go Away, Little Natey= Wants to Play.

 

The Wenatchee Valley Rams defeated the Northwest Avalanche today 20-13 in a Gre= ater Northwest Football Association (GNFA) Inter-league match up at Civic Field = in Bellingham. By wha= t can certainly be attributed to the very (very) wet day, the Rams and the Avalan= che each had plays you might go an entire season without seeing even one of. The Rams got the Avalanche for two safeties, and the Avalanche recovered a surp= rise onside kick and scored a touchdown on a halfback pass.

 

Rams Rookie Nate Gowing emerged with a big game on t= he ground. He had 92 rushing yards on 8 carries, including a 48 yard touchdown= run in the first quarter and another touchdown in the fourth.=

 

The Rams defense kept the Avalanche in check for most of the game. James Creel = and Mike Johnson each had an interception. Kolt Tho= mpson, Grant Dunn, and Homer Montemayor had 1 sack eac= h. At the end of the game, Jeremy Rainbolt sealed the vic= tory by sacking Av’s QB Todd Shackleford in hi= s own end zone for a safety.

 

The Rams next play the Valley Mustangs at Wildcat Stadium in East Wenatchee Saturday March 24th at 3:00 pm.
