Thieves
Strike Again
In the middle of the night, a remote area
that was once used as a military base was struck by thieves. The
base is now used by the Global Community Forces to store weapons
turned over by the United States military. Rocket launchers,
automatic weapons, and an assortment of hand guns and field rifles
were taken.
GCF spokesperson Fredrick Mueller said today that
they have tightened security and there would be no access to any of
the locations used to store the weapons. Four GCF personnel were
wounded in last night's break-in.
Said Mueller:
"This break-in is no doubt the work of a small but
determined militia. We have seen these incidents before, and will
not stand for such crimes. The weapons belong in the capable hands
of the GCF, and not in the unpredictable hands of a dangerous
militia that is bent on causing strife in the unity that Carpathia
is working so hard to accomplish. We are offering a hefty reward for
any information that leads to these perpetrators' arrests. Anyone
found to be involved with this crime will be dealt a swift and just
punishment."

Weekly News Report
Global
Weekly News has just received word that Nicolae Carpathia has met
with the president of the United States to discuss the issue of the
armed militia.
Although the militia does not have enough fire
power to cause any serious trouble, Nicolae wants President Fitzhugh
to arrange a meeting between Nicolae and the militia leaders.
From what we understand, this could be the breakthrough the
world has been waiting for to finally see the results of Secretary
General Carpathia's peace initiative.
President Fitzhugh was
unavailable for comment at this time but if history repeats itself
Fitzhugh will be more than willing to assist the Secretary General.
President Fitzhugh recently donated his brand new Air Force One to
the United Nations for use by Nicolae Carpathia.

Pictures Mr. Carpathia has praised
President Fitzhugh for being such a generous leader and has no doubt
together they will be able to take care of the militia issue.
We will update you as the information comes
available.

Wailing
Wall Declared Unsafe
People are being warned to stay away from
the Wailing Wall for their own protection.
Global Community
security forces have been placed all around the two strange men,
blocking their access to anyone. These are the same two men who have
been rumored to breathe fire.
Although such rumors are
dismissed by the GC, the danger these men pose to civilians is
recognized. Several attempts to apprehend the men have failed and
four GC security agents have died trying.
Nicolae Carpathia,
who already condemned their actions and accused them of spreading
hatred, has ordered the closing of the wall.
The men will be
investigated and further information on them will be distributed
through Global Weekly News.
For now, no one is allowed near
the Wailing Wall. This is for the protection of innocent civilians
who could unknowingly place themselves in harm's way by approaching
these men.
Anyone found in the restricted area will be
prosecuted without question.

Deadly and
Mysterious Illness Spreads
In the last few weeks, several unexplained
deaths have occurred in the cities of Chicago and New York, with the
deaths having identical symptoms. Doctors in both cities are baffled
and cannot explain the mysterious illness.
At noon today
there were two patients quarantined in Chicago and three in New
York, all demonstrating the same symptoms. Specialists from the
Global Community's Center of Disease Control are working around the
clock to ensure the disease is kept isolated so it cannot spread. At
this time, the disease appears to be spread by touch and is not
airborne.
The disease begins like the flu, but quickly
progresses to more serious symptoms including unusually high fever,
breathing difficulties, and in some cases even hallucinations
prompted by the fever. The GC is encouraging everyone to receive flu
shots and to report any unusual symptoms immediately.

House for
Sale
In the months since the
disappearance, many homes across the country have been abandoned for
a number of reasons. Some homes belonged to families who
disappeared. Others were abandoned after families moved to safer
locations where they could better provide for themselves.
The Global Community wants to ensure that these homes do not
just fall into disrepair and are never used. Vital resources should
never be wasted. Nicolae Carpathia has pledged to help those in
need, no matter what their social status may be. In keeping with
this pledge, he has devised a unique plan for the use of these
abandoned homes.
Sheila Smith of Illinois said: "My
family and I had given up hope. We were living on the streets, after
the disappearances. My husband had lost his job. We thought our
lives were over. Then the GC stepped in. We're living in a home now
that once belonged to a family that disappeared. Nicolae did not
want their loss to be in vain. We now have a chance at a better life
thanks to the GC."

On the day of the
disappearances, I never thought I would ever feel a second of
happiness again. My wife and children were taken from me and I
have not seen them since. It took months before I could face
the world again, but because of constant coverage of world
events I was able to get to know Nicolae Carpathia. His words
were soothing and with time I was able to start over. I will
never stop hurting from the loss, but because of Nicolae
Carpathia I see a new hope and a new life for all who were
left behind. I would like to take the time to thank him for
giving me hope and another chance at life. And I believe we
all should thank him.
Sincerely, Blessed in

Money, Money, and More Money
From
coast to coast, bank officials are asking what to do with the saving
accounts of those that disappeared and had no one left
behind.
The estimated amount of dollars is in the billions
and as time goes on, officials expect to find even more unclaimed
investments such as stocks and bonds.
The predicament is not
a simple one. Many of those who disappeared have no family or
friends who can claim their money and investments.
At the
same time, Global Community officials want to stress that the loss
of these precious individuals will not be in vain.
Global
Community spokesman Andrea Senston says
a plan is currently
underway to find a suitable and honoring use of these funds.
"We want to honor the memories of those who
disappeared,"
Senston said at a recent press
conference. "We are considering taking these funds and using them to
rebuild our society.
Such funds could be used to construct
parks where children can play, or even to rebuild the infrastructure
of our communities by providing new jobs and new
opportunities.
We want those whom we have lost to leave a
legacy that will last for generations to come."

Editorials - Can Fitzhugh Lead America? |
President
Gerald Fitzhugh has recently come under the fire of negative
public opinion. Some have questioned his leadership due to his
lack of control over the militia, as attacks against Global
Community headquarters and offices are on the rise across the
country.
Says President Fitzhugh: "The rumors
that have started concerning my loyalty to the GC and,
specifically, to Nicolae Carpathia, are unfounded. My loyalty
is strong and will remain so throughout my
presidency."
Even so, many still question
Fitzhugh. Some believe that although he supports the GC, he
does not want the United States to relinquish its sovereignty.
He would rather operate as an independent nation than as a
healthy, functioning member of a global society.
It
has been rumored that some top ranking officials in the White
House are connected to the militia. The White House has denied
any connection to the militia whatsoever. |

Even though our President stepped up to the
task, he still insists that all credit should go to Secretary
General Carpathia. To quote the
President,
"Never before has there been a need
for leadership as there is today, and I for one have made the
choice to join with Secretary General Carpathia. It is world
peace we need and there is no one better to lead us all than
Nicolae Carpathia."
Although normally one
would say that it was a humble move by President Fitzhugh, no
one can deny the words our President spoke. Secretary General
Carpathia is a man like no other. He will most certainly
change our world and we will never be the same. Things will
never be the way they were before he came.
Thanks Mr.
